About These Terms

By accessing or using RentMarketData.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for personal research and review of published rent and SAFMR figures. You agree not to:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to harvest ZIP-level tables or substantial portions of the Site
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site or its servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, databases, or dataset files

Intellectual Property

Underlying U.S. Census Bureau and HUD statistics remain public government data. RentMarketData owns the Site’s selection, arrangement, mapping of ZIP Codes to city and county, commentary, page structure, and compiled presentation.

You may print, save, or copy individual pages for your own personal reference. Sharing links to pages is allowed and encouraged.

Commercial Reproduction, Scraping, and AI Training

The compiled presentation on RentMarketData.com — including text, ZIP mappings, side-by-side Census and SAFMR layouts, and preview tables — contains original expression and may be protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

Reproduction, distribution, public display, or creation of derivative works of this compiled content for commercial purposes is prohibited without prior written permission from RentMarketData.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Republishing Site pages or tables on another website, blog, ebook, product, or paid course
  • Using scrapers, bots, or crawlers to extract substantial ZIP-level datasets from public preview pages
  • Training large-language models or other machine-learning systems on substantial portions of the Site’s original compilation and commentary
  • Reselling or redistributing preview tables as a competing dataset without a separate license

Full-state or national files are available only through a dataset request. Use of any CSV or bulk file we provide is limited to file-specific terms or explicit written agreement. Public government source files obtained directly from Census or HUD are not restricted by these Terms.

RentMarketData may pursue available remedies for unauthorized commercial copying of our compilation, including takedown notices and other legal action where applicable.

User Contributions

The Site does not currently accept user-submitted listings, reviews or other user-generated content. If RentMarketData adds user-submission features in the future, those features will be governed by applicable terms presented at the time of submission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, including warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Census and HUD figures may not reflect current market conditions, and local PHA payment standards may differ from published SAFMR amounts. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RentMarketData and its operators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content, including rental, voucher, or investment decisions.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes take effect when the revised Terms are posted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
